Compatibility with Vista 4140XMPT2

Postby lexam » Fri Sep 15, 2017 7:42 am

Hi all,

I need a definitive answer as to if the AD2USB (or other product from Alarm Decoder) is compatible with my alarm panel, the Ademco Vista 4140XMPT2.

Thank you in advance

If your panel supports alpha displays it will likely work on address 31 - these are old panels, and a lot of them do not support alpha - if they don't, it will not work with your panel

It does support alpha displays, as all of my displays are alpha-type. Is there any way I can test for compatibility before ordering? I saw in the alarm's manual that it supports a master display, at address 31, which would have control over all 8 partitions. Does that help?

It certainly meets all the criteria to work... sounds just like SE panels that are supported - I'd say give it a shot. If it doesn't work, send it back and we'll refund you.

Hi,

just in case someone is looking for an answer on this, I just received my AD2USB and it works (almost) fine with my Vista 4140XMPT2. I get all the signalling and can issue commands fine.

Cheers
