Okay. I didn't know smartthings was low on the priority list.

Anyhow, the EVL-3/4 integration may be good reference for when your team has time to add suggested features.

Thanks so much,

Unfortunately, being a small team, we have to pick our battles. We've chosen to add more panel support to our devices and other cool features behind the scenes in the library and webapp, and open source the code for everybody to contribute to for their own use cases.

That said, we've not abandoned the project at all - quite the contrary - we again are just a small team so hoping to get outside contributors for the low hanging fruit by releasing the code.

Hey Kevin,

Understood! No worries. I've been working on it myself and I was able to parse the "ready" signal from the message received from rpi. I have bypass functionality now as well. Have a look at the pic below. I only have 8 zones so I designed it to have a view of all 8 zones. When green, it is bypassed and when red, it is faulting. The blank squares note no faults. I can now tap each zone and send a bypass command. The only problem I have now is that I only try to internally keep track of bypassed zones... So, the bypassed zones on my device can get out of sync with what is bypassed on the panel.

With that said, I am looking for a bit of direction. Is there a command I can send that will retrieve a list of bypassed zones?

Thanks!

Ray

You know, I'm not sure if the zone tracker keeps track of that or not. I'm not aware of Honeywell providing a mechanism for this, but DSC might, check the user manual for your alarm to see if there is a way to get a list of bypassed zones.

Hi Kevin,

Would I need to modify the alarmdecoder web app to expose such a functionality?

Thanks,

I am not 100% sure, I will discuss and get back to you - been so long since zonetracking was re-visited I'm not sure at this time.

So after discussing with others here - we do not store a list of bypassed zones and getting a list of bypassed zones is convoluted and unreliable so your best bet is to utilize the bypass event in the notification to set the status

Thanks for asking around!! I appreciate it. Can you point me to where I would see such a bypass event? E.g. a specific callback in the device handler or the service manager? Or are we talking about the webapp on the RPI?

The webapp on the rpi with the notifications - in there should be a bypass event you can subscribe to.

Hmm... Do you think you can spoon feed me just a tad more? Do I just add to the notification list in constants.py? Is that all that is necessary to have it returned as json in smartthings?

Thanks. I am pretty close to how I want this.
