Pins in use

Postby gdave44 » Fri Dec 16, 2016 10:16 am

Okay, I have everything working. The keypad, the webapp, everything.

Now, I'm trying to get all of the hardware to fit in a thin case that I 3D printed. It'll all fit, IF I don't attach the ad2pi to the top of the RPi. I'm guessing the AD2Pi doesn't actually use all 16 of the pins. Which ones does it actually use? The closest information I could find on it were four connections to the Beaglebone Black.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The AD2PI uses 4 pins. They are documented here: https://www.alarmdecoder.com/wiki/index ... bone_Black
In the table under "Steps" you see the left side being ad2pi - it uses pins 6, 1, 10, 8 - this is a direct mapping to the pi gpio.

Thanks Kevin. You've truly done some great work here. I appreciate it.

I'd seen that, but wasn't sure if there was more communication going to the Pi than the BeagleBone.

Thanks for clarifying.
