Disable Low Battery Alarm

Can I disable the Low battery Alarm in a Vista-20P

I see the status report code (*63) but no obvious to make it Never report.

Basically I want to remove the battery and run the system without it.
Right now after a time it alarms and goes crazy due to the missing battery.

That’s a function that’s built into the system firmware and cannot be defeated. The product design provides a float charge for the battery and periodically does a brief test on the battery to be sure the battery voltage doesn’t drop below a predetermined level while supporting the system load. Without a good battery in place the firmware sees it as a fatal situation. This is designed in to prevent a power outage from from defeating an alarm system.

Why do you want to run the panel without a battery.
