Hello,

I am totally new to this alarmdecoder thing and raspberry Pi. Hello,

I just bought an Ad2Pi device and having some issue to get started.

My Setup: Honeywell Vista 15PSIA with one 6160 keypad at address 16, a CDMA alarm communicator connected to Alarm out terminals.

I am using your pre-configured image and verified wiring as per instructions. I also updated serial ports to
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Dec 9 08:50 /dev/serial0 -> ttyAMA0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5 Dec 9 08:50 /dev/serial1 -> ttyS0


I can see the status from the panel on the web app and can see all the transaction messages on telnet. However, I am not able send any commands to the the panel (I cant arm, disarm) from the web app. During setup on web app, device testing fails as shown below

! C or V command from terminal does not get any response.

Any pointers to troubleshoot this ?

Hi, It sounds like the alarmdecoder is on an address not enabled in the panel. You will have to enter programming mode and enable an address for the alarmdecoder to reside at.

Keypad address 18 is enabled (data field 191 is 01 00). I even tried enabling address 20 but the result was same. another observation is that the LED on ad2pi board is flashing , probably twice per second.

No response to C or V command is strange - please email support, ad2usb@support.nutech.com

I am yet to hear back from support. Meanwhile, if I am seeing messages from panel via telnet 127.0.0.1 10000, does that mean ser2sock is working properly ?

I honestly have no idea, wish I could help with potential hardware issues but I can't - keep trying to contact them, maybe call during office hours.
