I have had my AD2USB for a couple years now, working without issue. Now, after upgrading my VeraLite to a VeraSecure, I am having connection issues on the AD2USB.

I can get the AD2USB to connect to the panel by power cycling the panel. After a few hours it the AD2USB will lose connection and requires a power cycle to come up again. When I lose connection, the indicator LED stops blinking. After power cycling, the indicator LED blinks normally.

Is the device just fried? Nothing on the panel or wiring has changed.

If the led stops the reason is most likely it received a command character from the host (vera) the is a blocking command. By error or bug in the host it can cause this. Does the vera ha e any useful logs? What is your ad2 firmware version?

You can test the AD2USB on a PC or Laptop with the Keypad software, if the AD2USB continues this behavior then we can explore further. If the AD2USB does not continue this behavior, then you will have to contact Vera support to see why it is doing it.
