AD2USB control from MAC

I am using Yosemite on my MAC connected to a AD2USB connected to my Vista 40 panel.

I followed the how-to video for connection:
1) installed FTDI drivers
2) Got the Alarm decoder keypad program, unpacked it and ran it.

I never get communication with the Panel. I change the port in the configuration. It never goes past "Waiting for AlarmDecoder Communications to Open."

The app also quits every time I try to change the address to 10 (the one I chose in my panel).

I have tried a firmware update through the app and nothing happens.

I am a novice at this.

Can anyone help.

Hi,

Please see if you can connect directly using a serial program from your terminal such as screen:

screen <device> 115200 where <device> is the path to your device

You can issue a "!" command to configure the device for address 10 in this mode, just follow the prompts.

Once you have verified everything works you can exit screen with ctrl-a then ctrl-\

As for the software, please find email ad2usb@support.nutech.com with any relevant information including any logs if applicable.
