Email Notification troubleshooting

Thanks, Kevin for the help in the other post.

I set up an email notification in the WebApp on my AD2PI in the settings tab by adding my gmail as destination email address --- left the rest of the fields pre-populated -- see screen shot below. When I 'test and save' the notification is saved and message reads, 'Test Notification Sent' but I don't get an email. Is there additional setup I need to do for the email to send successfully? I don't have the alarm system connected yet but assumed the test email would be sent either way.

We need to put some examples on that page.........

For GMAIL.
------------------------------------
In our webapp:
Source address is whatever you want the "from" to appear as
Destination address is the "to", or your gmail.com address
email server is smtp.gmail.com
Server port is 587 - enable TLS
Authenticate with your username and password

Dev branch currently contains tooltips to help with this. When it's ready to move to a master release and you update your software, hovering over the boxes will give examples.
